Types Of Licenses

To setup your business in SAIF Zone, you will need one of these four types of licenses:


Trading License

This license consists of two different licenses:

Commercial License

This license covers the import, export, distribution, consolidation, storage, and warehousing of specific items listed in the license.

General Trading License

This license can be obtained under a commercial license allowing businesses to cover a variety of goods.


Industrial License

This license includes the importing of raw materials, manufacturing, processing, assembling, packaging, and exporting the final product.


Service License

This license permits you to offer services specified in the license, but only within the SAIF Zone.


Facility Type

Choose from a variety of facility types including SAIF Offices (SAIF Suite, SAIF Executive Office, SAIF Office), warehouses, plots of land, Jewellery Park, container parking, and labour accommodation.


Types of Legal Entities
Free Zone Establishment (FZE)

An FZE can be established by one individual with just one shareholder, and a minimum capital requirement of AED 150,000.

Free Zone Company (FZC)

An FZC in SAIF Zone must have at least two shareholders to operate, with the option to have up to seven shareholders with approval from the SAIF Zone Authority. The minimum capital requirement is AED 150,000.

Branch of a Foreign Company

A foreign company can open a branch in SAIF Zone with the branch having the same name as the parent company.

Branch of a UAE Company

A company from any part of the UAE can open a branch in SAIF Zone with the branch having the same name as the parent company.
