An annual general meeting, or annual shareholder meeting, is primarily held to allow shareholders to vote on both company issues and the selection of the company’s board of directors.
An annual general meeting (AGM) is a mandatory yearly gathering of a company’s shareholders. at an AGM, the director(s) of the company present an annual report containing information for shareholders about the company’s performance and strategy. Shareholders with voting rights should vote on the issues listed on the agenda, such as appointments to the company’s board of directors, dividend payment, and the selection of auditors and other decisions. If the meeting is held via video and audio communication platforms, it must be ensured that the company's Memorandum of association allows this. |
