Description

Article 25 of the Federal Law No. 15/2020 on Consumer Protection states the information that suppliers in the field of e-commerce must provide to consumers including terms of contract, payment and warranty. The same article stipulates that consumers shall not be offered legal protection if they purchase products and/or services through suppliers unlicensed inside the United Arab Emirates.

As per article 4 of the same, the consumer has the right to obtain correct information about the goods that he purchases, uses, or consumes, or the service he receives. The same article stipulates the obligation of the product supplier to educate the consumer about his rights and obligations.

Online product suppliers should refer to the following laws and regulations to ensure compliance with the applicable laws and regulations in the United Arab Emirates:
