Document Summary

This checklist is used to document all the employees’ files for the period of employment. These files must be maintained by the employer for a period no less than 2 years following the end of service.


Once an employee is hired, it is important to have a checklist that records every document related to the employee, in order to protect the rights of both the employer and the employee.

Article 13 of Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021 obligates the employer to maintain the employee’s files and records as per the conditions, rules and procedures issued by a resolution of the ministry, for a period a minimum period of two years after the date of the employee’s end of service.
